UNDERSTAND BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Another perspective.
A more informed choice.

You may want to understand why treatment is recommended, compare reasonable alternatives, or discuss priorities within a larger plan. A second opinion can confirm a recommendation as well as offer a different perspective.

A tooth recommended for treatment

Ask about the findings behind a proposed crown, root canal, or extraction and which factors affect whether the tooth can be retained.

Repair and restoration options ↗

Missing teeth or a full-arch plan

Review implants, dentures, and the proposed replacement teeth. Discuss surgery, temporary and final restorations, and continuing care.

WHAT IS FREE?

The consultation.
Clear terms before further care.

Our second-opinion consultation is free. Bring your proposed treatment plan and available records so the discussion has useful context.

Further assessment may be needed

An examination, new imaging, or other diagnostic services may be required to assess the concern fully. Ask what the consultation can cover with your existing information and confirm any separate fees before proceeding.

The free consultation does not include treatment or promise a diagnosis based only on another office’s estimate.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Your second-opinion
questions.

Clarify the consultation and what to bring before you visit.

Is the second-opinion consultation free?

Yes, the second-opinion consultation is free. Tell the team that you are requesting this visit when booking. If an examination, new X-rays, or other diagnostic services are needed, confirm any separate fees before proceeding.

What can I discuss at the consultation?

Bring the dental treatment you have been advised to have and the questions you want answered. The conversation can cover the reasons for the recommendation, appropriate alternatives, timing, costs, and follow-up.

Do I need a written treatment plan?

It helps to bring one, along with the estimate and available records. If you do not have them yet, call to ask what would be useful for the concern you want reviewed.

Can you review an implant or full-arch recommendation?

Yes. Bring the proposed implant plan, estimate, and available imaging. Assessment considers the remaining teeth, gums, bone, health history, and proposed replacement teeth. More information may be needed before a recommendation can be finalized.

Can I ask whether a tooth could be saved?

You can discuss a proposed crown, root canal, or extraction. Whether retaining the tooth is reasonable depends on its condition and appropriate assessment. A second opinion does not guarantee a tooth can be saved.

Will the opinion be different from my current dentist’s?

Not necessarily. Dr. Lebovich may agree with the original recommendation or discuss another approach. The value is understanding the findings and choices, not being promised a different answer.

Can existing X-rays be used?

Bring available recent images and ask about transferring records securely. Existing imaging may help, but its quality, date, and relevance determine whether further imaging is needed.

Do I have to have treatment at Lombard Dental Studio afterward?

The consultation is an opportunity to understand your options. You can consider the information before choosing where to continue care. Ask about sharing the findings with your current dentist if useful.

Is a second opinion a replacement for urgent treatment?

A second-opinion appointment may not be suitable for an urgent concern. Tell the team about pain, swelling, or a recent injury when you call so appropriate appointment options can be discussed.

How do I book and where is the studio?
