FIXED FULL-ARCH TOOTH REPLACEMENT

All-on-4 dental implants
in Thousand Oaks.

A full arch of teeth.
A carefully planned foundation.

All-on-4 dental implants replace an entire upper or lower arch with fixed replacement teeth supported by four titanium implants. Suitable patients may receive a fixed temporary bridge on the day of surgery; the final teeth follow after healing. Discuss your options with Dr. Vadim Lebovich at Lombard Dental Studio.

WHAT IS ALL-ON-4?

All-on-4 implants:
the core elements.

All-on-4 uses four titanium implants to support a fixed set of replacement teeth in one jaw. The two rear implants are typically angled to make use of available bone.

The bridge replaces the teeth across the arch; it is not a separate implant for every tooth. The implant positions and final design are planned together.

Upper and lower jaws are assessed separately. Four implants refers to one treated arch, not both jaws combined.

Stability

A fixed bridge stays in place during daily use rather than being removed by the wearer.

Function & appearance

Discuss tooth shape, smile support, speech, and chewing alongside the surgical plan.

Ongoing care

Cleaning access, reviews, and future repairs belong in the plan from the beginning.

WHAT “TEETH IN A DAY” MEANS

Temporary teeth first.
Healing still matters.

In suitable cases, a fixed provisional bridge can be fitted on the day of implant placement. This depends on your assessment and the stability achieved during surgery.

The provisional teeth are part of the healing phase. The final restoration follows once your implants and tissues are ready. Same-day treatment does not mean unrestricted eating or that every stage is complete.

Ask before surgery: What temporary teeth are planned, what happens if immediate loading is unsuitable, and when will the final teeth be fitted?

IS THIS THE RIGHT OPTION FOR YOU?

Start with what
can be preserved.

Full-arch treatment may be considered when an arch is toothless or remaining teeth cannot reasonably be retained. An examination should explain why this approach is appropriate and what alternatives remain.

  • Assess the condition of each remaining tooth and the gums.
  • Review bone quantity, quality, and nearby structures with appropriate imaging.
  • Discuss smoking, diabetes control, medicines, and other healing factors.
  • Consider your bite, smile, speech, and ability to clean the bridge.
  • Compare four-implant and other full-arch designs individually.

THE TREATMENT PROCESS

Understand each stage.
Know what comes next.

Planning, surgery, implant healing, and the final bridge are distinct stages. The schedule depends on your site and any preparatory care; bone integration takes months.

Assess & compare

Review your remaining teeth, gums, health, imaging, and goals. Discuss which teeth can be kept, the proposed implant positions, alternatives, and a written estimate.

Surgery & temporary teeth

Complete planned extractions or other preparation and place the implants. A fixed provisional bridge is attached only when conditions allow; agree on an alternative temporary plan beforehand.

Heal & protect

Follow the prescribed food and care instructions while bone heals around the implants. Attend reviews and adjustments. The provisional bridge has limits even though it stays in place.

Fit the final restoration

Once healing and readiness are assessed, fit the final teeth and review appearance, speech, bite, and cleaning access. Continue the personal maintenance schedule.

A clear estimate.
For the complete plan.

$22,000–$30,000 per arch · indicative range

The range is a starting point, not your personal quote. Review a written estimate before scheduling treatment. If both arches are being treated, each needs its own plan and cost breakdown.

  • Examination, imaging, and treatment planning.
  • Extractions, bone preparation, or grafting if required.
  • Implants, connecting components, and provisional teeth.
  • Final bridge materials and fitting stages.

COMPARE FULL-ARCH OPTIONS

Choose the design.
Understand the tradeoffs.

Implant number alone does not decide which plan is best. Compare suitability, surgery, cleaning, maintenance, and cost.

Other fixed implant plans

More implants or another configuration may be recommended for your anatomy and restoration. Ask why.

AFTERCARE & LONGEVITY

Fixed teeth.
Continuing care.

Learn how to clean beneath the bridge and around the implants with the tools recommended for your design. Fixed teeth stay in place during daily use, but they still need professional checks and maintenance.

The implants, screws, and bridge have different repair needs. Material wear, tissue health, and bite forces can affect longevity. There is no lifetime guarantee.

Protect healing

Follow the prescribed diet, cleaning, activity, and medicine instructions. Ask about transport if sedation is planned.

Keep your reviews

Follow-up checks assess the tissues, bite, and restoration. The maintenance schedule is tailored to your needs.

Report changes

Bleeding, swelling, pain, looseness, or a changed bite needs assessment. Peri-implant disease can damage supporting tissues and bone.

BEFORE YOUR VISIT

Your All-on-4
questions.

Bring your records and priorities. A personal assessment helps turn the treatment concept into a plan you understand.

What are All-on-4 dental implants?

All-on-4 is a full-arch replacement supported by four implants in the treated jaw. It can replace an upper or lower arch, or both as separate treatment plans. A fixed bridge attaches to the implants rather than relying on the gums alone.

Is that four implants for my whole mouth?

No. Four refers to one arch. Treating both upper and lower arches involves separate planning for each jaw, and the implant number may differ if another design is more appropriate.

Can I get teeth in one day?

Selected patients can receive a fixed provisional bridge on the day of implant surgery if the implants achieve suitable stability. This is not a guarantee. The final restoration is a later stage, and an alternative temporary arrangement may be necessary.

How much does All-on-4 cost in Thousand Oaks?

Our indicative range is $22,000–$30,000 per arch. Your actual cost depends on the required procedures and restoration. Obtain a written, itemized estimate and confirm what is included, such as extractions, temporary teeth, final materials, and follow-up.

Will I need bone grafting?

The design can use available bone and avoid grafting in some cases, but this is not universal. Imaging and examination determine whether four implants are suitable, whether preparatory treatment is needed, or whether another option is preferable.

How long does recovery take?

Surgical recovery and bone integration are different stages. Initial soreness and swelling vary with the surgery, while implant healing takes months. Your team will explain food restrictions, cleaning, activity, and the timing of the final teeth.

Can I eat normally right after surgery?

Follow the diet prescribed for your healing implants and provisional teeth. A fixed temporary bridge does not mean unrestricted chewing. Ask when and how you can gradually change your diet.

Are All-on-4 teeth removable?

A fixed bridge stays in place during daily use and is removed by a dental professional when needed. A snap-in implant denture is a different design that the wearer removes for cleaning.

How long do All-on-4 implants last?

The implants and restoration can serve for many years, but neither is guaranteed to last a lifetime. Cleaning, tissue health, bite forces, material wear, and professional maintenance influence longevity. Components and the bridge may need repair or replacement.

Is All-on-4 better than All-on-8?

There is no universal best implant count. Bone, implant distribution, bite forces, restoration design, and cleaning access determine the plan. Ask why the recommended number fits your case rather than choosing by the number alone.

Does treatment mean removing all my remaining teeth?

Only teeth judged unsuitable to retain should be considered for extraction. Ask which teeth can be saved and why a full-arch plan is recommended. A second opinion can help clarify major extraction and replacement decisions.

What if an implant or the bridge develops a problem?

Contact your treating dentist about pain, swelling, bleeding, looseness, or a changed bite. A problem may involve the tissues, an implant, a screw, or the bridge. Assessment determines the treatment and whether the restoration needs to be repaired or changed.
